SOFIAC

About SOFIAC

SOFIAC was set up by Econoler and Fondaction in 2020 with the support of the Quebec government. With $200M in investment capacity structured by Fondaction and Desjardins, its mission is to support companies in the commercial, industrial and multi-residential sectors by developing and investing in their energy transition and building decarbonation projects.

SOFIAC's innovative approach enables its customers to use a portion of the energy savings generated by the projects implemented to reimburse the full development and implementation costs of their energy transition project. Throughout the process, SOFIAC helps its customers to improve their energy performance and reduce their operating costs, while benefiting from a positive cash flow as soon as the project is implemented.

SOFIAC works in collaboration with Energy Service Companies (ESCos) across Canada to implement deep renovation projects with significant impacts for its customers through 10- and 15-year contractual agreements.
